Sony Ericsson W980i – The New Walkman King

Sony Ericsson W980i, what else can you get?? a powerful 8GB of internal storage, a 3.2MP camera, a generously sized external display, and something the company calls “Walkman on Top.” The technology replicates the music player interface in its entirety on the external display, allowing full player control without flip-open the phone which is also including TrackID music identification, PlayNow downloads and ‘SenseMe’ mood analysis.

Other features include an FM transmitter (so you can send music to your car stereo or any nearby radio) beside the power of PlayNow support. Look for it to launch in Q3 in quadband EDGE flavor with HSDPA 2100.

Well It is still unclear whether the new phone shares the same touch-sensitive user interface as previous high-end Walman phones, but it does answer a number of our criticisms of the W960 – most notably the inclusion of HSDPA for super-fast web browsing.

Despite all that, we couldn’t get this amazing gadget until the second half of the year 2008. Oh Gosh! should we wait that long??? Guess Sony Ericsson still haven’t learn from the past…
